Poker at mcity888 – More Than Just a Card Game
If you've ever played poker with friends at a mamak stall or at home on weekends, you know how much fun it can be. Now picture that same experience — but with players from across Malaysia, far more tables, and much bigger cash prizes. That's exactly what mcity888 brings to our online poker platform.
Poker isn't just about luck. It's about reading your opponents, managing risk, and making the right call at the right moment. That's what sets it apart from slots or baccarat — here, your skill genuinely shapes the outcome. The more you play and learn, the better your edge. mcity888 offers an environment where players can grow, whether you're picking up your first hand or coming in with years of experience.
Texas Hold'em – The Top Choice for Malaysian Players
Texas Hold'em remains the most popular poker variant at mcity888 and around the world. The format is straightforward — each player receives two private cards (hole cards), and five community cards are revealed in stages (flop, turn, river). The player who forms the best hand using any combination of their hole cards and the community cards wins the pot.
At mcity888, Texas Hold'em tables are available across a wide range of stakes — from micro tables with blinds as low as RM 0.05/RM 0.10 for beginners, all the way up to mid and high-stakes tables for serious players. You can choose between No-Limit, Pot-Limit, or Fixed-Limit formats to suit your playing style. Tables are open 24 hours a day with players always ready to join.
Poker Game Formats at mcity888
Mcity888 offers several poker game formats to suit all types of players:
Cash Games is the most flexible format — join and leave whenever you like. Chips on the table represent real money, and you can rebuy at any time. This format suits players who prefer to play on their own schedule without the pressure of tournament clock rounds.
Sit & Go (SNG) is a small-format tournament that starts automatically once the required number of players has filled up — typically 6 or 9. Buy-ins start from just RM 10, and prize money is distributed among the top 2–3 finishers. SNGs are ideal for shorter sessions lasting around 30–60 minutes.
Multi-Table Tournaments (MTT) are large-scale tournaments that kick off at a scheduled time, drawing hundreds of players simultaneously. mcity888 hosts MTTs daily across a range of buy-in levels, with a high-prize major tournament every week. Players compete until one person holds all the chips and takes the win.
Freeroll are free tournaments that require no buy-in, yet offer real cash prizes. mcity888 hosts exclusive freerolls for new members every Friday and Saturday — the perfect way to experience tournament play without any financial risk.
Omaha & Other Variants – More Challenge, More Fun
Beyond Texas Hold'em, mcity888 also offers Omaha Hi-Lo and Omaha Pot-Limit for players looking for a greater challenge. In Omaha, each player receives four hole cards instead of two as in Hold'em, and must use exactly two of their hole cards together with three community cards to form a hand. This makes the game more complex, and pots tend to be larger as stronger hands can be made more frequently.
For players who enjoy variety, mcity888 also offers Short Deck Hold'em — a modern variant played with just 36 cards (2s through 5s removed) that delivers faster action and more showdowns. Hand rankings in Short Deck differ slightly from standard poker, making it an exciting game to master.
Privacy Policy & Account Security
Mcity888 protects all your personal data and financial information with 256-bit SSL encryption. Your game history and transaction details are never shared with any third party. Two-factor authentication is also available for an added layer of security on your poker account.

Why Poker at mcity888 Is Different
There are a few things that make the poker experience at mcity888 stand out from other platforms. For starters, the game interface is fully optimised for mobile — you can play comfortably on your smartphone with no app download required. All the essential features, including player notes, personal statistics, and table settings, are accessible directly from your web browser.
On top of that, mcity888's rakeback system is among the most competitive in the market. Every time you play at a cash game table, a small portion of the rake collected is returned to you in the form of points or cash credited directly to your account. For regular players, the monthly rakeback can add up to a meaningful source of additional income.
Third, mcity888 guarantees that no bots or automated programs are used in gameplay. An active bot-detection system runs around the clock, and any account suspected of using unauthorised software is suspended immediately pending investigation. This ensures fair competition among real human players.
For payments, everything is handled through local Malaysian methods. Deposit via Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow, or FPX banking such as Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. Funds are credited to your poker account instantly, and withdrawals are processed in under 15 minutes in most cases.
